I'm looking at trading a guy my Ford van for a 1990 full sized Ford Bronco, but I don't know if it has a solid axle up front or if it is an independent front suspension. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The Bronco suspension is based on the F-150 and after 1986 was given TTB (twin traction beam) setup in the front end for an independent front suspension.

I don't think there is such thing as a 'solid axle up front' on any car.

Maybe on some industrial equipment that has rear wheel steering - like a forklift.

In order to make it to where the wheels can turn, then the suspension and everything has to be independent.

Independent rear suspension used to be rare - but most newer cars - especially front wheel drive cars with unibody will have independent rear.
