I just bought mine one week ago. i like it,but the rear window is so small. i am having a hard time seeing what is behind me when i reverse. On the highway, i find that there are bad blind spots. Am i just supposed to reverse with a hope and a prayer like the little old ladies at the supermarket? definate flaw in design.

When i am on the highway, i can only see the top of the car behind me. granted, they are tailgating, but i drive in nj.

I could suggest some solutions to your problems.

There are aftermarket kits available that attatch sensors to the back bumper (fender), and detect how close you are to obstructions when reversing, making an increasingly frequent beeping sound the closer you get. Your Ford dealer may be able to help.

The blind spot problem is more difficult; you could try buying small convex mirrors, available from car accessory shops, that you attatch to the corner of your door mirrors. These will give you a wider angle of view.

As for tailgaiting drivers, you could make a report on baddriving.com

Are you sititng too low in the seat or have the seat back moved back some? Could you sit a little higher and adjust the mirrors to get a better view? As for the the view around the C-pillar that's just the way they are made. Good luck

If you go to Canadian tire... you can get a camera system (small camera on the back of your car with a screen on your dash) that allows you to see what you is behind you without actually looking behind you.

Try adjusting your seat position. I drive a Fusion and have no problem seeing all around.
