1989 Ford Bronco Transfer Case

The transfer case uses gear oil, and is filled seperately from the transmission. The only time that the transmission and transfer case oil's will get mixed is if the rear seal fails on the transmission.

Since the drain, and fill plugs are damaged, use a pair of vise grips to remove them, then take them down to your local parts store for replacements.

No, it's a separate compartment. There will be 2 plugs on the back of the transfer case with a 3/8" square drive. The higher one, closer to the driveshaft is the level plug. Fill with ATF to this level.
