I stall out when trying to pull my boat up the ramp. No problems on the open road or going up hills. Only going from a dead stop do I have a problem.

Ive installed a magnaflow cat back exhaust as well as a K&N cold air intake but not doing much for the problem Im having.

It has exhaust, and I added a k&N cold air intake, and a hypertech max energy programmer. But I want more, what else can I do?

I bought the car used many years ago. It runs a bit rough, especially in colder weather. This is more noticeable during idle and not while driving.

It will sometimes stall out when the car is cold, turned on, and then put into reverse. This stall out can be prevented by giving it a lot of gas. However, this is the only time this has stalled out.

I have kept up all maintenance on the car and recently changed the air filter, spark plugs, and spark plug wires.

Before I spend a lot of money for the coil pack, does anyone think that this will help?

If so, how hard is it to replace it? Is it a matter of unscrewing the old one and putting the new one on, or is it harder than that?

Thanks.

needed at 60,000 miles. What is involved in checking the timing belt and would it be better just to replace it if it is laborious to get to ?
Also, it says to adjust the bands on the transmission every 30,000 miles. How is this done ? The tranny appears to be making a whining noise now at 82,000 miles .....

Also, the car is shimmying at about 50 mph ... what could be causing this ???

I am about to buy a half ton full-size truck. I already tried F-150 XLT (5.3 V8), Silverado 1500 LT1 (5.3 V8), Sierra 1500 SLE (5.3 V8), and Ram 1500 (Hemi). Yes, I know it's all about person preference, but I need sort of general opinions on them. What I have found are:
1. F-150: Liked the way it looks in and out. I don't like a bunch of wires and hoses in the hood. Overall good but preformance seems not as good as other trucks. I didn't like the seats. Not comfortable.
2. Silverado: Gas mileage seems a bit better than others. Onsite is good. I found many things have been redesigned and improved. I just don't like the way it looks.
3. Sierra: Almost the same as Silverado, but looks like it gets the best gas mileage.
4. Ram: Really liked the power of hemi. It's awesome. The way it looks in and out is good, but gas mileage looks the worst.
I want to buy F-150 for its attractive outlook, but I like the power of hemi. Don't want to spend $$$ on gas though. Thanks in advance!!!

I recently saw a sales ad for a 1970 Dodge Challenger. It was the R/T model with the 440 6-Pack engine.

The ad stated that the car was a true V-Code. What does that mean?

After it's jumped int he morning it's good to go for the rest of the day. I don't leave anything on in the truck. Could it be the battery? The truck turns, it just doesn't start without a jump.

I need some opinions on wether or not I should keep this truck. I bought it 5 months ago from a dealership for $8k. So far the alignments been adjusted 3 times, back breaks totally replaced, major tune up (the spark plugs were rusted onto the battery) and a mystery problem (turned out to be the oxygen sensor). I have spent over $3k already fixing it. Not only that, but the ball joints need replacing (another $300). I'm stuck between keeping it because i've put so much money into it now or selling it because i'm afraid in the future it'll have more problems. I didn't do my research before buying the Dakota and I see it has nothing but bad reviews. Opinions please!!!!!!
