when you take off the stock rotors do you need to put those little clips back on

those clips are used at the factory to hold the rotors on while the truck is on the assembly line before it gets wheels. throw them away. it would sure be a pain to try to take them off intact, wouldn't it?

I have been changing disc brake rotors since about 1973, and not only have I not put those little clips back on, I have never gotten one off intact.
If you deem it necessary, find some more and replace them.
Good luck on that, unless someone has started making them for replacements.

what ever you remove or take apart, clean the reuseable parts and replace the same place and way that they came off, everything has a purpose, and a job to be done, dont skip or change sequences especially with the brakes. you will understand immediately when you step on the pedal at 65 mph in a hurry, and nothing happens to the system, except for the fudge factors
