not really. the 3.7 does well in libertys and dakotas, but in a 1500 i feel that it just doesnt have the torque to pull well. your upgrades are all i would suggest. may be in your best interest to look for a 4.7 truck if you need the extra pulling power. possibly if you have 3.50 gears swap to the 3.91, but dont forget to reset tire rotation per mile in the pcm to compensate, but you may have the lower gear already in a 3.7. if you email me the last 8 of the vin i can check vehicle options to verify gearing if needed.

We have a 05 1500 reg cab Auto put a 3" lift front 4 rear 185x70x17 BF at/KO 6" higher 3.7 stock k&n drop in.Pull a 24 morgan 250 yamaha ,Tandem. trailer 3500 lbs have no problem at all at ramp. You have a stick If your winching the boat on the trailer than your pulling dead weight.Back the trailer into the water father till the truck wheels are close to the water it will give you a running start an should come out unless your on a steep ramp?If so then use the engine on the boat to help push you up the ramp.Did that with the 28>>>Remember it's only a 1/2 ton with a V6 so you have to improvise>>Since you have a stick shift put the emergency break on 1s gear rev engine let clutch out till grabs release emergency brake keep power on till moving<>?
