I replaced the water pump on the truck and then replaced the thermostat. After this was completed I found a small hole in the radiator and so I had that fixed. When I went to start the truck, I turned the key and there was a loud click and then it turns over but does not fire. I tried taking the spark plug out and putting it on the block to see if I had spark and I did not. The only wire that I removed was the one on the alternator support brace. I think I have tried to put that back in everyway possiable, what can I do. I need this truck to run. Please Help.

To make a long story short, the trans cooler (inside of the radiator) busted and had to replace radiator. There was pink0 pepto looking fluid coming from the radiator. Took it to the dealer to have it looked at. The dealer claims that they replaced a transmission solenoid and resealed the transmission pan. The dealer stuff was done first, brought it home and replaced the radiator. Started it up, took it for a drive. The transmission seems like it's slipping, floored it and it barely moved. This morning it will not go into drive but will go into reverse. The trans dipstick still has the pink pepto stuff on it, but there is none coming from the radiator, so I believe we fixed this. Does the transmission just need to be flushed and could the remaining pepto stuff from the trans cooler break be causing it to slip? I'm looking at the cheapest way to repair this so I'm hoping that the trans just needs to be flushed. Any advice?

I have a Dodge Ram 1500 (V8) that will not start. It did though lie "dorment" for at least 1 yr. It ran pryor to that and I had bought another truck and just let this one sit. It ran perfectly fine before that. My neighbor brought over his hand held "computer" and it read "no link..... computer error". Any idea on what this could be? I am stumped on this one.

To make a long story short, a couple of weeks ago my '99 dakota started to tweek. It would loose power if accelerated too quickly or driving up hills. Days later, I pulled out of the driveway and 20 seconds later, it lost power again. It feels like its starving for gas or a hole in the exhaust. Because you can feel a "putt putt" and silent backfires when it does it. It went to one mechanic and he couldn't find anything wrong with it. Currently its at another and our bill is at $1k and still they don't know whats wrong. Its had a good tune up, everything has been looked over, its just one giant mystery. Has anbody else had this problem or have any ideas what could possibly be wrong? They are checking the engines computer today, but I have a feeling that won't be it either. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am wanting to put a two inch lift block in the rear of a 2005 dodge ram 1500 4x4 truck. My friend is telling me that this will mess with my rear axle and cause major damage. I've never heard of this but maybe someone can help me with this.

It does it at no particular time. Sometimes when she hits a bump . Sometimes just going down the road. Sometimes when she turns a corner. They took it to a garage and they said it was the struts. After changing the struts, it still made the clunking sound. Another mechanic said it was definitely the transmission. After putting in a rebuilt transmission it still clunks. Any suggestions?

I would like only those who know and not any sarcastic answers. Our Stratus has 27,000 miles on it and we had it parked for over a week as we were gone. Upon starting it up again the Malfunction Indicator Light on and has stayed that way since. It runs the same great way it did before, so I am not sure why it would come on if it never came on before.

I am not a car expert, but the light is just a luminated light that looks like a transmission or engine.

Thank you!

Someone told me today to change it to the newer ozone friendly freon all you have to do is let all the old freon out and put the new stuff in, and it also requires a different type of connector so that the new freon can be added.

Is this true...That sounds just too simple.
