I am talking about base models around 70k miles. I usually steer away from american cars but the 300 has just a bit better mpg, better saftey tests, and a longer standard warranty(not to mention the looks). The maxima has a little more powerful engine (not major deal for me) and a moonroof(which I love) and looks good. Is the maxima more reliable in the long run or the 300? (not concerned about resale value since I plan to have either car for about 4-5 years(around 20k miles a year) )

I just recently bought a 2003 ford mustang gt and the dealer said it took premium. However i read on the internet that it took regular unleaded. That would greatly help my wallet if it did. Anyone know? Thanks.

It looks like the specs on these cars are impossible.
The mustang says 300 to 0 in 12ft. (WTF)
The old Kitt says 0 to 60 in 0.2 sec. (WTF)

When I first take off the transmission seems to slip and then SLAM into gear. I checked the Trans. fluid level and it's fine. It does this 2-3 times when first taking off then the problem goes away. It's worse when the car is cold.

The 3.55 or the 3.73 on the new Ford F250 SD? I don't do a lot of towing, but I do a lot of long distance driving.

Hey new Hummer owners! I just got a new Hummer H2 for Christmas (they had an incredible zero down financing deal!) While driving home, I was stopped at a stop light listening to the new Britney Spears album and some guy shouted “Hey A$$hole! Nice car! You must have SP Syndrome to drive a car like that!” I realize the guy is just jealous of my new Humvie (and I cut off his tiny little Honda Civic a few minutes earlier, damn Jap junk! I only buy USA!) but I don’t know what SP Syndrome is. Does anyone know what SPS is?

I know that the Chevy big block 427 acquired the nickname "rat motor" and that term was used for other bow tie big blocks as well, along with the small blocks being called "mouse motors". So, how is it that this terms came into use?

I just replaced my Head gaskets and I am reassembling the engine. The shop that reconditioned
the heads said the rocker arms are not adjustable and I just need to install the heads. A buddy of mine insists that they need to be adjusted after the install to tighten any that may be tapping.
I am familiar with adjusting them while the engine is running, but my buddy insists there is a way to adjust
them while it is not running! He is strictly a Chevy guy and said he bought a Chevy shop manual that had all the specifications. Anyone familiar with this process?
The engine has hydraulic lifters(I think) and I am using the original push rods in the exact locations.

I have 2, 20 year old Fords that today are 3 x's the truck this dodge is. When the Dodge breaks down, I hook one of my Fords to it and continue on. If this is Dodges way of SCREWING the comsumer. This is one CONSUMER that Dodge will never get another dollar from.

I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant ES. It has 45,000 original miles on it. Everytime I brake at a stop sign or a red light or whatever, I hear a loud "whirrrrrrr" sound coming from my brakes combined with a rough grinding. I'm pretty sure it's coming from the front of the car. I have brand new brake pads and rotors on the car so I'm not sure why this is happening. Anyone know what's going on?

Hi
I would like to buy a pressure bleeder for the brakes which will do all mercedes benz and its light commercials and cars with sensitive braking systems. Do I need an electric pressure bleeder? The pressure bleeders that I have come across use a 20 L container. Is there a hand pressure pump which does the same job with a low capacity container?
Any advice will be appreciated.
can you recommend one?

Just asking peoples input on what I should do with my car. I've had it for 12 years. It is an unmolested original car, although it will need a complete rebuild from top to bottom. What do you think about restoring it to original factory paint, wheels, etc or going with 400-500hp 340, custom paint, 18 or 19" wheels, shaved marker lights, a-arm front susp with 4 link rear, etc?

The Service Engine Soon light came on in my '96 Corsica a few days ago. I didn't think much of it because in this past this has been caused by my gas tank cover not being on tight enough. I tried tightening it, but the light stayed on. One time a few days ago I noticed the light flashing while I was driving. I have noticed that while I'm stopped a light, I can feel the engine almost sputtering, as though there is water in the gas line. I added half a container of HEET/fuel injector cleaner to the tank. I can still feel the engine sputtering while stopped. Then tonight on a 120-mile trip, the light flashed on multiple occasions, and I counted the flashes: 10 in a series. Does the 10 flashes specifically mean anything? If so, what? Or will I need to run a diagnostic code test?

Please don't advise me to go to a mechanic; my dad is my mechanic and as soon as we know what's wrong, we'll fix it.

The media hype has left a stigma on the Uninversal style Jeeps for a long time with roll-over scares and stability issues especially on pavement.

What are your experiences?
