Anyone know what the average labor cost would be to swap out an engine for a 2001 Dodge Durango? It's a V8 4.7L

probably around 2500-3000 just for a good engine and to change it the price can vary a lot on this depending on the engine you buy and who installs it and the mileage it has on it,good luck.

$2K for a rebuilt exchange engine
$3K for a new engine

Well first it all depends on what your looking to swap in. First have have to pay for the engine, then all the bolts to have it bolt into the car (unless they fit the stock ones) and if it is not a complete engine you will need to get parts like wires, plugs, and different parts for your that you would have to put onto the engine. So yea you could be looking anywhere from 2000-11000+
