The dampeners have been changed and it still does it and it's getting worse. But when you turn off the engine for a few minutes it stops. Then when the car has warmed up again it starts again. The Lotus garage couldn't find anything.

The clutch has to be engaghed to start it,is there some kind of ford way to bypass the clutch senser?? I've figured out my way to improvise, the last time I ran into a "bump start" situation, the old truck would start with or without the clutch engaghed.I even looked around for the manuel that came with the truck, but, no luck ( it basicly told you how to pump gas and empty the ashtray!! forcing people to go back to ford, useless )I 've got two days before the holiday is over and a client hands me a check......Is there a "official" bypass?? or do I, do my best attempt at jeririgging the sensor????? ThankYou so much for your time.

I have a 94 accord ex with 149,000 miles on it, and a 96 accord dx with 179,000.
The 94 has leather, 6 disk cd changer, and power everything, as well as a VTEC motor. The 96 is more basic, with cloth seats, roll-up windows, and an aftermarket sunroof. It also has a six disc CD changer.
the 94:
Has siezed brake components and 0% left on the front pads. It has a bad front motor mounts. The boot where the axel connects to the tranny is torn, so the car will leak a little tranny fluid because of this. The leather is worn, and the interior overall is fairly dirty. The windshield needs replaced. The A/C doesn't work.
The 96

Needs the timing belt changed, and a upper control arm. The headliner is torn and sagging in the rear.

The 96 is getting inspected today and I should have a better Idea of its condition afterwards. The 96 seems to be "tighter", in that it runs and drives a little smoother, and it's A/C works. Provided nothing else is found wrong w/ the 96, which car do I keep?

I took the catalytic converter off on a 1993 Chev Lumina car with the 3.1 V-6 and at first the gas mileage doubled. Then it started getting worse. The converter was stopped up when I forst got the car. I heard that it needs a certain amount of back pressure in the exhaust. If i have an after market converter put on will it make it get better mileage? The car runs great, no check engine light is on, put in new spark plugs a few months ago.

Two-door, four-door, or hatchback. I'm looking for something that's really fast, and has great handling and breaking.

Are there special aftermarket locking gas caps that don't cause the check engine light to go on? The gas caps have a special keyway and don't just screw on. They are half twist bayonett type!
