New or Used? Lets explore both. As I repair and service both cars I would tell you in the new class, neither on actually. If you insist on one I would lean toward the Saab over the Audi. Why, well Volkswagen for starters is in money trouble and this bodes poorly for the cars lines. Audi is just a Volks if you didn't know. Saab is of course GM since '90and a half. The Saab is more a Saab than the Audi is and Audi. Depending on the model selected both have real issues. However, I see less expense on my customers part with Saab's. If we are talking used and older cars the Saab hands down. Audi is basically junk prior to late '90s. This is in both body and mechanical. I personally drive pre-'94 Saabs, very reasonablely priced and a breeze to work on with parts being half of an Audi. The bottom line is no matter what you buy, new or used, if you do not do PROPER maintiance on it it will cost you, big time. Proper of course means NOT what the manual says, thats just there to get you to buy the car, not keep it. Proper means oil changes and tuning of the car at the intervals that your techs recomendations. Also make sure you have a tech that KNOWS and or specializes in the brand you buy. Gone are the days of the shade tree mechanic. With average new car having no less than four seperate computor systems it requires very specialized tools to even ask the car how it's feeling today. And with EPA guidlines getting more and more rules and regs. it just is getting ugly. Hope the info helps your choice, if you have any more ???? just drop me a note at scooterdude1340@yahoo.com.

Got to be Audi

Saab parts are more expensive and a hell of lot uglier.
