There was no difference in driving performance prior to problem. Someone stopped me and informed me my brakes were on fire and smoke started to pour out. I had new brake pads put on about 3 months ago, however I had noticed just recently that the brake dust on my rims looked pink instead of black.

i have an old ford truck that i want to fix up, could i go to a ford dealership and buy a crate engine, and take it home to put it in myself or do i have to take the truck to them, and let them put it in?

My 2002 Passat TDI S 130 lights up the ESP dashboard warning light after travelling about one mile. If the car is then stopped and re-started it seems to re-set itself until another mile has passed when it lights up again. The service indicator has just come up to say another service is due (80,000 full VSH), but I think this is just a coincidence. Pressing the dashboard ESP button has no effect. Does anyone have any ideas as to either the cause and/or how to fix it please.

I have three different wires one that is blue/purple
blue
yellow/pink
then there is a pigtail it plugs into that goes to the transfer case, they look like they are tan, black and dark pink.

ok i have a 98 achieva and it went in to water now at first i thout it had a knocking but i guess theres a realy big diffrence between a knocking and a ticking so theres a ticking noise and i opened up were u put the oil and theres no oil going in to it and the add colant lights on but its full now would that be the water pump needs to be replaced and the oil pump or does on not make the other work please help
