Car Makes - August 2006

My sales job requires, among other things, driving a lot of miles. Often more than 1,000 miles per week. It also requires a durable vehicle that does well off-road--often on farms, construction sites and in the snow. I've been driving a luxury sedan (that get's GREAT mileage) for a long time, but have gotten myself in some tough situations that have involved almost needing a tow truck and bottoming out on rough roads. I like a roomy vehicle for transporting clients (and friends on the weekends) and I need one that can handle snow and off-roading. I'm in sales and in the Midwest, so an American car is likey a good idea as well--thus my interest in the Tahoe. But I can't justify buying a vehicle that guzzles gas (especially with prices going up everyday), so I'm considering waiting until next year. What type of mileage can I expect from the Tahoe Hybrid assuming I cut off the fuel and switch to electric when possible? Any other vehicles to consider?

When I stop at red lights or just plain stopping while in "Drive," my engin will stall or begin to act funny (i.e: Odometer will go up and down rapidly, like the engine is about to die). I heard about changing the knock sensor on other year models. But does this repair apply to me. Thank You Very Much

My wife(women drivers) just drove home and the clutch pedal went hard to the floor and stayed there. there is nothing there. Is this just the clutch cable?

The car I want to import is a 1967 Ford Mustang GT 350, I also would like to to know any companies that do component upgrades for this vehicle. Please also include where I could get decent car insurance for the car and if there are any incurrent taxation costs that I need to know about. Hey Guys/Gals,

I have a 1997 2.3L Ranger, but i bought the truck and it doesn't have a owner's manual. Does anybody know what fuse is the one that controls the interior lights?

What happened was I was driving down the road and the door sensor took a dump. So, I was driving with the interior lights on (because the sensor thought the door was open). So when i got home, i had to start pulling fuses until they went off (so the battery doesn't die). Well, it was pitch black out and I can't figure out what port it's supposed to be in now. Any help???

I've heard the reliability has been dwindling after the 2000 civic. I hear that the 7th generation civics (01-05) has a defective automatic transmission that is garanteed to fail after about 50k miles. But Honda won't admit to it so it's not covered under warranty.

If you own a 2006 Civic, have u had any problems with it?

I live near Columbus, OH and i've been looking like mad for an older(not older than '88) chevy truck to buy for under $2000. i just want the interior to be in good shape, have less than 150,000 miles, and have a 350.
