who knows where i can find a nice used cowl hood for a 1968 chevy truck??

i would prefer to have one with a 6" rise used is ok if in good condition or a good wholesaler.

A used one will be a little hard to find. The 6" rise might be hard to find too, typically all I have seen is a 2" and a 4". You may have to get a standard hood and do some metal work to get a 6".
A new cowl hood you can find just about anywhere. Just type in 67-72 Chevy truck parts and you will just about everything you need.
Some good sites are Manes, LMC, Classic Parts of America, and Goodmark. Most of these site will send you a free catalog as well. Ebay is great too, they usually have a cowl hood for about $450 and that includes shipping.

the finished hood? No. i do no longer think of that could artwork. The hood for the vehicle is very plenty diverse than the hood for the truck. yet, you need to placed only the canopy on as long because of the fact the hood of your truck become great sufficient to in good shape it. putting a cover on any form of hood isn't all that puzzling, you only desire some fiberglass to combination it in and then decrease a hollow interior the unique hood to permit area for regardless of you desire clearance for. Or, once you're only going for looks, only use the fiberglass to combination it in.
