Hey Guys/Gals,

I have a 1997 2.3L Ranger, but i bought the truck and it doesn't have a owner's manual. Does anybody know what fuse is the one that controls the interior lights?

What happened was I was driving down the road and the door sensor took a dump. So, I was driving with the interior lights on (because the sensor thought the door was open). So when i got home, i had to start pulling fuses until they went off (so the battery doesn't die). Well, it was pitch black out and I can't figure out what port it's supposed to be in now. Any help???

You can download a copy of the owners manual for your vehicle at http://www.genuineservice.com/genuineservice/en/gloveboxresults for free. This is a Ford Motor company website.

I suggest that you get a look into your fuse panel and, witha flashlight, look for the port that has two metal contacts for the fuse. There should just be the one that you removed as all others will be presently fitted with a fuse. Short of that, you could go to a For dealer and request that someone in service assist you. They should be willing to help, even if you are not getting anything done. The sevice advisors at Ford dealers are pretty good that way, at least they are where I worked.

Ford hasn't identified fuses on the cover for a long time.
