Hi,

I have a cassette player in my car & now I am planning to buy an Mp3 CD player. I want to keep both in my car. Could you please explain how to connect their audio out to the respective speakers ?
Is one player's audio causes back effect on another one? if yes, what to use to isolate the effect.

Thanks,
Bob

A friend of mine has a car stereo that works perfectly fine, except it will not eject the CD when the eject button is activated. Its not an expensive deck, but I would rather not have her buy a new one. Is there a way to reset the deck or manually override the eject button?

I'm a mechanical engineer, so I'm clueless when it comes to circuits, but I'm willing to try anything.

My 12" subwoofer was installed around 3 months ago and has been used recently for that time untill early yesterday it stopped working i was in the drive through getting food so i turned the volume down when i turned it back on after a while my subwoofer wasn't bumping anymore. I have checked all the fuses and all the connections and they are all fine. i disconected my sub and connected my friends sub to my amp to see if it was my amp and his sub was working so it isnt my amp. i never had problems with my amp or sub before and my system wasn't blasting before i turned it down i always play it at that level it has never had problems.

Please help someone. Anything would be helpfull.

I have a 1997 Honda civic with a Kenwood Head Unit installed by Best Buy about 4 -5 years ago. The stereo was working fine, but about 2 weeks ago it just stopped working. What happens now is that the faceplate just flips over randomly. Occasionally there is a display on the screen for a few seconds but it is distorted. None of the buttons work and I am unable to eject the CD. I checked the fuse on the back of the unit and it looks fine. I also checked the fuse in my car underneath the dash and it looks fine as well. All connections look fine as well ( I diconnected and reconnected everything). Do you think the unit is just dead? Could there be another fuse? Should I go ahead and change the fuses anyway? Any advice would be appreciated.

I have an alpine deck with componenet speakers, not hooked up an amp. I have a JL audio 10W3v2 sub being powered by a pioneer 760w amp. After i installed it, the first 40 minutes i was driving. I turn my car off.... come back an hour later, turn the engine on and it pops, then i turn the colume down, the sub works, back up to level 4 it cuts out. Why is that? My amp should have more than enough power to push one 10. The same amp pushed 2 higher powered 10s before. Please let me know what it could be.... I spent good money on this system and am very mad that it is not an easy fix....i.e checking connections.

Help me please!

Thanks

I'm having no luck trying to find a cable with identical ends: male 3.5mm RIGHT ANGLED stereo jack (same type you see on many earbud headphones).

I need it for my aux input on my car stereo to my XM Radio (Roady XT). A regular straight stereo jack on my car stereo's end would stick - getting in the way of any cups placed in my cupholder; making the cupholder absolutely useless. So only a dual right-angled jack will do the trick and at the other end, would help hide the wire-clutter on my XM Radio's end.

I have so far found a cable with ONE end right angled, the other end straight - as an aux cable that comes with the "Dual iPlug" (search for "Dual iPlug"). I would also end up wasting the actual iPlug itself; and still, I'm only getting 50% of what I'm looking for.

Anyone have any ideas where I can find this illusive cable?

I have 2 dual voice coil MTX T5512-44 12" subs (4ohm each). Along with that, I also bought 1 MTX mono block Thunder 5601 amp (2 or 4 ohm stable).

Now, for my question....

The subs are both 300RMS, 4 ohms each. The amp is 300 watts x 1 @ 4 ohms / 600 watts x 1 @ 2 ohms.

What I am lost on is since this is not a single coil sub will it still work with this setup? If so, how would I need to wire it.

Thanks

I'm trying to coordinate it with a sony head unit that I installed myself and i'm not shore weather its not working because of my lack of electrical know how o weather the sub box is faulty. I have included photos of the sub's amp and the stamatics of the sony head unit. Please could somehow illustrate how i'm supposed to set this up:-)
