I have a pioneer DEH-P6500 head unit and i lost my remote for it. My buddy gave me one that is identical and said they're universal. This one however doesn't work, i've replaced the battery and still nothing. Is there programming or anything to make it work?

I think the power wire that was stock is too small and needs to be a stronger gauge. Where would I hook up a different wire? Straight to the battery? I can't trace back the stock positive wire. Oh, and also the CD player is making a noice as if it were ejecting a CD. This is the only sign that it has some power. There are know lights coming on. Help Please!!!

I just bought a TS-W301R 12'' Pioneer Sub and I'm going to be putting it in a sealed box in my trunk. Now I'm looking for an amp to power it, Pioneer has the GM-3300T 2 Channel Amp that looks like it will power it well. The thing is to get the max power to the sub I'm going to have to bridge it... which is new to me, what does this mean and does it degrade the qality of sound? Any help will be good.

I have a JVC (AR-7000) installed in my car and everything works fine including perfect reception of FM radio. When I try to tune in any AM station it is just pure static. Even the AM stations I know that originate very close by, won't come in at all. I have checked my connections and everything seems to be fine. The confusing part is that the FM reception is perfect. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Paul

I just bought a 96 Monte Carlo that still has its stock cassette player. Everytime I try to listen to the radio I can turn the knob only slightly and the sound instantly gets extremely loud and then the sound declines until you hear nothing. Also I noticed that when it happens the front speakers pop before it gets loud. I was wondering if the problem would have to do with the speakers, the stereo, or the wiring somewhere in the car? Someone please help because I need music! lol!

I'm trying to create a mobile sound system which will be pulled on a trailer behind a bike. It will be powered by a deep cycle battery and the input will be from an iPod. I'm using a Pyle marine amp. I've hooked up the positive connector on the amp to the positive terminal on the battery through a power switch and a fuse relay. I've hooked up the remote connector on the amp to the negative terminal on the battery and I've connected a ground wire to the frame of the trailer. I'm getting no power to the amp. The battery is fully charged, the fuses and switch are all good but still no power. It appears the problem might have to do with the remote turn on feature in the amp so I need to figure out a way to bypass the remote turn on to get the amp to power up. Any ideas how I might do this?
