actually all these people are wrong, the + wire is whichever wire is hooked up to the + lead on anything, wire itself doesnt matter....unless you are asking about wire that is already hooked up to something.....

The silver side is just tinned so that you can identify the wiring polarity more easily. Electrically there's no difference, and you can use either one as long as you're consistent with all your wiring. Most professional installers would choose to use the copper as the positive wire.

Does not make a difference, although I have way overpriced cables with my system because it worth more than most. You dont rubber floor mats in a ferrari even though they do just as good a job as fabric floor mats One good thing about copper/silver wire is your less likely to get the pos+/neg- mixed up This is the best answer

either of them can be positive or negative.... the colors is to determine which one will be which when u hook them up..... lets say ur hooking it up to an amp and subs.... if u put the silver to the positive on the sub then the copper will be negative, just make sure u put the silver to the positive on the amp and copper to negative..... no one is right or wrong it just depends on your choice of which one is positive and negative

Copper doesnt always have to be posotive. The posotive wire is which everyone the installer made it the coloring is mainly to help you identify the posotive and neg you made it whaile running the wire.
