Sony or Pioneer

I have a Sony car stereo with detachable faceplate that has a jack for ipods or mp3 auxilliary input. When I plug in my ipod, the sound only comes out of the front right speaker. And I have to plug the ipod to the cigarette lighter to get any decent volume (even if the internal battery to the ipod is full). My ipod works well otherwise and plays in stereo with either headphones or plugged into a home stereo.

Is there anyway to fix it or do i have to buy a new car stereo?

To elaborate, I bought an aftermarket head unit for my truck, and want to wire it into my Infinity Amp and 6-speakers. Obviously, I don't have a wiring diagram for the head unit harness, it's made to plug into the factory head. Can someone point out a wiring diagram/pinout so I can just hardwire this and save $40 in cables that won't completely do the trick anyway (the ones sold at Circuit City don't accommodate the Infinity amp/speakers)

I will be getting the Kicker DS6930, 4 of them .....match it up with the zx350.4 kicker amp. I friend of mines told me a crossover will help alot, to seperate the bass from my 6x9's, since i will be having both 15" L7 doing all the bass...my question, do i need a 2 way crossover, or a 3 way cross over, and whats the difference?

I would like to know if it is possible and safe to hook up 2 JBL GTO637 6.5" 180-WATT 3-way speakers that are rated from what I understand at 2 ohms impedance to a regular 4 channel deck with simple 240 watt built in amplifier. I would also like to add SOUNDSTREAM XTS57 5x7" 360 WATT 3 way speakers in the doors. the 5x7 speakers are 180 watts each. Sorry if this a stupid question but can I install and run the speakers safely on the deck I mentioned earlier ?

He is tight on money so he got a cheaper priced amplifier it is a Pyramid PB1000, 1000 watt bridgeable amp. Does anyone know whats up with this occurace?

Im kind of a noob when it comes to dual voice coil subs. The sub is a 500 watt Alpine Type R 12" which runs at 4 ohms for each voice coil. The amp puts out 125 watts x 2 @ 4 ohms, 250 watts x 2 @ 2 ohms, and 500 watts @ 4 ohms when its bridged (i dont think its stable to be bridged at 2 ohms). I realize i should have gotten the 2 ohm version of this subwoofer, but its too late. I dont want to settle for 250 watts of bass because this sub is meant to take twice that much power. Is there any way i can get 500 watts going to this sub without buying a new amp?

could someone give me some help with the installation of a second battery (to be put in the boot) of my car VN Commodore 1990 model

I wish to connect the main deck(DVD/CD player) front screen monitor, 2 x rear screen monitors and also the amplifier/booster and the amplifier for the speakers ....

Do I have to have a circuit breaker for the second battery and does the battery have to be placed in a battery box when it is located in the boot..?

If anyone could help by either giving me plans or drawings on this

thanks

Where can I find simple instructions on how to modify an Ipod FM transmitter adapter so that the signal is increased. I have a basic understanding of electronics and want to increase the signal strength, yes I understand that this violates some rules but I'm really not concerned about that.
