I want to get a single sub to put in the back of my truck. My question is, will a kenwood 600w amp push one Infinity 12" Dual-Voice-Coil 8-Ohm Subwoofer? Or will I need to get a 1000w amp.

Well, we kinda need to know the model of the sub or at least the power handling.

You can wire that sub like so http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j230/sparky3489/SINGLE-PARALLEL.jpg to get a 4 ohm load out of it and it's just matter of matching the watts RMS of the sub to an amp of the same watts RMS @ 4 ohms.

Can you provide the exact model numbers for the amplifiers and the subwoofer? Your numbers don't seem to match any Infinity sub I can find, and "600 watt amp" is way too vague for us to give you any useful answer at all.

Yes, but you need to channel it down I forget the technical term for it. You know how to do this? If not email me and I can walk you through it, it is a fairly simple task

If you bridge the amp, you should have no problems...

use the + from the right channel, and - from left channel
