i have a alpine cda-9856 head unit and i need to find out what the output is should be between 0.1v and 8v so as i can match it to input of my amp, My amp amp is a m1005 alpine n e help on this would be much appreciated PLEASE!!!!!

I believe the 9856 only has 2 volt pre-outs on it. Thats what it sounds like your asking.

According to Alpine, the CDA-9856 has 2 volt pre-outs.

Just hook up the blue wire to you "remote turn on" on the amp. It too will ask for the blue wire.

are you talking about the remote lead wire to power your amp on? If so, it's a blue wire.
