You will have a much easier time finding a mono amp that can produce 500 watts RMS into a 2-ohm load. Your subs will sound best if they're both playing exactly the same signal, and the easiest way to accomplish this is to wire them in parallel for a combined 2-ohm load. This is exactly what a mono amp is designed for, and you'll find more of them for lower prices than you'll find 2-channel amps rated for 250 watts RMS per channel. Here's an amp that would work well: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-mLn8gUOlX61/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=120&I=113KAC8103

When matching amps and subs, use only the RMS ratings, not the max ratings; and look for CEA-2006 compliant power ratings on the amp.

Update: Buy an amp with a mono rating of 500 watts RMS at 2 ohms. The ohm rating is important; most mono amps will have a 4-ohm rating and a 2-ohm rating. Look at the 2-ohm rating. Your speakers are rated for 250 watts RMS, which means that together they can handle 500 watts (not 1000).

Check this out dude, Blitz 2 channel 1000 watt sub, which is what you need. You have 2 500 watt subs which i'm assuming is 500 watts MAX and not 500 watts RMS (constant wattage)

The amp is 2 channel, so you will split the wattage output of the amp by 2, so 2 channels each supplying maximum wattage of 500 to each of your speaker.

I found the amp on ebay, but you really just need any 1000 watt max 2 channel sub....don't worry about the ohms, for a system if your wattage range whatever amp you get will be able to support 4 ohms.

whats the ohms on the subs? most likely 4 or 2ohm and i bet you can drop the amp to 2ohm stable.
