It depends on the monitor. Some overhead units have small built-in speakers. Others have built-in FM modulators so you can tune in the movie sound on your radio station; these commonly produce poor sound quality. Most have audio output jacks, so you could run audio cables from the monitor into your deck's auxiliary input, if equipped. Most also have infrared headphone transmitters, so rear seat passengers can listen with wireless headphones.
