It's a very efficient amplifier (over 80% according to one test), so its current requirements aren't as high as some other 1000 watt amps. A 4-gauge wire should be fine.

For well-priced, very good quality amp wire kits I'd look at KnuKnoceptz: http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.cfm?Category=Amp%20Installation%20Kits

If your total system power is more than 1000 watts RMS you may need to:

1. Upgrade the alternator to a high output alternator
2. Upgrade to a heavy duty deep cycle battery
3. Upgrade the "Big 3" - that is to replace the power wire between the battery and alternator, the ground wire from the battery to the chassis and ground strap from the chassis to the engine block or transmission to at least a 1/0 AWG wire.

Failure to do this will result in you replacing them anyway as the alternator will eventually fail.

Here is a guide that will help determine power wire size, correct gain settings and whether or not you need an alternator upgrade:

You'll need Microsoft Excel, a multi-meter (AC volt meter) and a way to burn an audio CD from an MP3.

If you don't have Excel, let me know and I'll send you the required info in an E-mail. sparky3489@yahoo.com

If you didnt get the sub yet get the 4ohm dvc version then a 500x1 @2ohm amp will b good. If you did already buy it look for a 2channel bridgeable amp that pushes about 600x1 @4ohms bridged for the most bang for your buck.
