If there're wires running through already, just cut a little slit in the grommets (rubber boots that protect wires from the metal, metal will slice them otherwise) that are already there and push the 8g through.
If you can't see any, double check that it's clear on both sides and drill a hole, use a new grommet (auto parts store) and run wire through there.

Be extra careful not to cut other wires while slicing into existing grommets.
Also be careful not to drill into anything if that's what needs to be done.

Good Luck!

Your firewall has already some holes in there. They are the holes for the electrical wires comming from the engine. Use them, look carefully between the engine and the firewall they should be there, Carefully make a tiny insition on the rubber covering the hole nad pass the wire throught it. Now are you using an amp? Is it powerful? I better to use a 4 gauge wire just for security and for future upgrades.

Use an exsisting opening and run the wire through it. There will be a rubber grommet already there.
