my husband bought a used car, had it 2 months the transmission blew yesterday, it has 125K miles on it
can we trade it in with a bad transmissoin?? we can't afford $2500 to fix it.
p.s. it's a 2001 or 2002 Acura. no warranty didn't get it from a dealership

Hi. It's my first time buying a car. It's not my first time driving -- been driving for 2 years now, just never had my OWN ride.

I really like mustangs and camaros, thinking of buying a USED one. 1996-2002. Just a couple of thousand bucks.

But my brothers says it's a piece of sh......Anyone out there familiar with ford can help me? Anything i really need to know about these cars? What's a bad used mustang/camaro mileage? Thx.

I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Montero Sport with ~130k miles on it, and I recently failed my emissions test due to visible smoke. The repair shop I went to told me that there is quite a bit of oil leaking into the engine and may cost around $2500 to fix everything. The car isn't worth more than $4000 at this point, so I'm wondering what my options are if I want to get rid of it. Does insurance typically cover something like this, or will I be able to sell with a failed emissions test and expired registration?

The 64 is original no rust but in need of paint job,3 speed,6cyl.

I am at the end of a 5 year lease for a 2003 Sienna with 60,000 miles on it. The lease is up in early March, so I will be over the miles by roughly 5,000. The buy-out is $9,500 plus $500 handling, plus sales tax. The bank has called and asked if I am going to buy the vehicle. I told them that I would not buy it unless they offered me a deal on the buyout price. Huntington Bank said that they do not negiotate, they have insurance on the loan, so they will not loose money at auction. Anybody have experience with Huntington? Is this true about them having insurance on the loan? I was hoping to get the vehicle for $7,000. Any thoughts?

My girlfriend is behind on her car loan and has been threatened with repossession. To make matters worse, she had an accident (her fault) the same day her insurance lapsed and did $3000 damage to the car. She cannot afford to repair the car or make payments anymore so she is going to give up the car for voluntary repossession. My question is: When the car is sold and the deficency amount is calculated, will making a small payment each month keep them from pursuing a judgement against her?

A friend has has his car repo for been one month behind his payment. They have asked him to pay 2 month payment in adance and plus a large fee. if choose to pay the total amount they asked for and get his car back, Does that goes into his credit history and affect his credit score?

A family friend of ours is getting a new car. She found a used Acura RL (I believe it's a 2007) she really likes with only 10,000 miles. Her husband wants to get a new 2008 Lexus ES350 instead. I'm in the market for a new car and i'm looking for something i can get for under $25,000. I'm looking for something sporty but i want backseats. I want a car with good handling and pretty good performance.
Right now i'm looking at the Civic SI, the VW GTI, Lancer GTS and so on. If getting a FWD car i want to make sure it doesn't torque steer too much.
So i'm asking for any ideas of other types of cars i can get and why you suggest those; or if you believe i should get one of the cars i listed then please explain why. Thanks in advance for all the help.

I am looking for a new car, so I've been doing some research. I would prefer to get something used, probably nothing with more than 35k miles on it and no older than 2005, definitely 2004. I'm currently looking at a Volvo S40 or XC90, Audi A4, Lexus RX330, or possibly an '06 BMW 3-series. Right now I really like the Volvos, but I would like to hear some other opinions on which vehicle offers a better ride, more reliability, etc.

I’m due to take my test at the end of the month and have started looking around at cars.

Not really sure about what to go for but I know what I don’t want.

I don’t want a fiesta and I don’t want anything that’s going to be really dear to insure/repair.

People keep suggesting KA’s, Micra’s, Corsa’s and Toyota Starlet’s ?

I don’t want to spend more than £2000 and it’s going to be used/second/third hand.

I recent finianced a car from ford dealer ship and and now its broken. it has no warranty but i havent even made my first car payment on it and i took it to the chevy mechanics and they said i should get a attorney and sue ford. because they shouldnt have sold me a broken car? Its a Chevy Camaro
'94 the repairs of the car are going to cost me 3000 dollars and I went to ford with the bill estimate of the repairs and the sales manager made a copy of them and he said he will call me soon and see what he can do?? What can ford do?? Pay for the repairs of the car? They cant sell me a broken car for 6000 dollars can they/??
