You cannot work every day every hour. You have to attend school so figure you can work 4 hours five days a week and 8 hours on weekends, which is a total of 36 hours times 7 But remember you also have to pay income tax which Federal is 15 % and whatever your state tax is (no choice on either). So if you only have to pay Fed income tax take the 36 x 7 or $252 times .15 which is $27.80 Take that from $252 and you and $224.10 (that is without state tax) Now divide that into the $2500 you need and you will have to work at least 12 weeks (actually 11.16).
And don't forget you have to have money to pay for the insurance and gas!!!!! You cannot drive a car without insurance and unless you Dad is willing to pay for the added cost to your policy, you have a very long wait.
Think you should get a job and start saving and WHEN you have at least $2500 or more, then start looking for a car if your Dad is still willing to pay for half the cost of the car.

That's really not a complete question.
How many hours a week is part time. Part time is defined as under 40 hours per week.
Lets just say you work 4 hours per day, 7 days a week. That's 28hrs/wk x $7/hr=$196/wk - 10% in taxes= $176/wk
So we take $2,500/$176 and we get 14.2 weeks which is about 3 months.
At your current pay, you'd have to work about 50hrs/wk until the end of November to get the money for the car. That doesn't include overtime pay for the 10 hours because I doubt your job will give you that many hours in which case you'd be working two jobs and they won't pay you overtime because it will be less than 40 hrs/wk

it depends on how many hours a week you will work, plus how do you know if the car will still be up for sale by the time that you have all money gathered. if you are working 20 hours part time at $7/hour you will make 140 a week minus taxes its about 120 times 4 thats 480 a month which if i see it it will take at least 5 months to come up with the money. if working full time in 2 1/2 months.....hope this helps

It would take roughly 446 hours (that's my estimate after taking out taxes) And that's if you dont spend a single penny on anything else. If you want it by the end of November, we'll say thats roughly 55 days. To get it by then, you'd have to work 8.1 hours a day, seven days a week pretty much.

If you cannot figure this out, I would save your money and put it to tutoring cause you aren't going to make it through school.
