Man, I walked into a Toyo dealer, ask about the Taco and he ask me when I was thinking to buy one so I told him thgat I was just comparing. He gave a business card and told me to get back when ready. I was. I bought a 08 Crew cab Frontier, and a Path for my wife.

I have read some negative things about E-Loan today. I am looking to purchase a used car and the only place I can get a loan is E-Loan, because the car is a bit older and the amount I'm borrowing is fairly small ($5k).

Has anyone ever accepted an E-Loan Power Check from a buyer? If so, how was your experience?

I want to make sure it is a smooth transaction.

I once had a car where the engine later was non functional, as a result of coolant in oil=no more engine. I still owe 2,400 on the car and it is in the parking lot of the man i got it from. How do i go about selling the car? I do not want to owe that forever. Do i just go on craig'slist and post the milage and condition? Or since i haven't paid off the car can i not even sell it? Also i do not have the registration he does since it is in his lot. How do i go about selling this car, if i even can. He said he is looking at the condition tommorow to see what needs to be done, i think he wants me to fix it up. But i just want it out of my life. I have a new car... and this car broke down a year ago.

I want to trade my Honda Civic in for a new (used) car. I didn't know if it would be better to trade it in at a honda dealer... like would I get more for it there or less since it's a honda ya no?? Also the same with buying a new car.. is it better to buy a honda from a honda dealer or do you get a better deal if the car is a different make then the dealer???

Also, I'm so confused about how the out of state tax issue works. If you buy a car out of state you have to pay the taxes when you get your tag?? is that right?? well how much tax are we talking?? alot or just average??

final true value after negotiating a car's price? Is the Edmunds true value supposed to be the true value after negotiating/making the final decision? If the car i'm thinking about has a huge gash in the door from another person opening their car door on it, and 2 dents on the other side, could this take the cars rating down from excellent to good? The gash doesn't effect my driving/safety at all, but it is still pretty huge, and I might want to have the door replaced. Thank you very much for your time!!

I have a 3,000 dollar lien on my car. It needs head gasket repairs and it's not worth it for my to pay for the repairs.

I met a mechanic who offered to do work on my car and put a lien on it. He said I wouldn't have to pay the bank off. He even offered me the 500 dollars I wanted for my car. What should I do? I live in California.

A week ago, we signed papers for a 2007 Cobalt at a Chevrolet dealership. They took over the 2003 Altima (that we still owed on) gave us 5k for it and applied the rest that we owed to the loan.Today in the mail, I received a letter from the institution the dealer said it was financed through and they said they couldn't approve the loan but gave us a counter offer...then said for us to contact the dearlership if we were interested within 30 days. Prior to signing the papers, the loan officer said that he had three that had already turned it down...but then called us in with the one that would accept it.
We've already changed info with our insurance. The car payment on the Altima is due in two days. One question is...wouldn't the dealership have already contacted us that the financing had not gone through or should we just take this car back pronto and make the regular payment on the Altima?

ok, i am getting my license in a few months, and I have started looking into cars. The truth is that I have no idea in what I should get. I see that all of my friends seem to have trucks, which is great, however I have always been more interested in sports cars. A old camero, mustang, Nissan Z, etc. I know that my parents are gonna spend around 4 grand on it, and I know that I'm not going to get a real nice hot rod. But I want something that is as cool as I can get for the money. I have also taken gas mileage, insurance and all these other things into consideration. I have yet to find a car that fits all of these qualities. I want to make a responsible decision that will make my parents proud, and that will satisfy my need for speed. Thanks a lot for the feedback!

As I already said, I live in Canada, but I have heard it is cheaper to fly to the US, buy a car there and drive it back. But I am wondering what I have to do to bring it back to Canada? Do I have to pay taxes or registration at the border or what?
