I am looking for a new car, so I've been doing some research. I would prefer to get something used, probably nothing with more than 35k miles on it and no older than 2005, definitely 2004. I'm currently looking at a Volvo S40 or XC90, Audi A4, Lexus RX330, or possibly an '06 BMW 3-series. Right now I really like the Volvos, but I would like to hear some other opinions on which vehicle offers a better ride, more reliability, etc.

Thanks in advanced for your replies.

All of those cars you listed are unreliable with the exception of the Lexus
The Volvo XC90 cannot keep up and does horrible in snow
BMW's are overrated and do not perform like they used to (Saab did the same thing and their cars are junk now too)
Audi has also gotten a recent bad reputation for being unreliable.

If you are looking for a nice SUV, check out the Acura MDX

We almost got a BMW a few months ago but I dod a lot of research online and thru Consumer reports.

good luck

Volvo is OK, but a better bet in my mind is the Lexus or BMW

Get a Lexus IS or a Cadillac CTS.
