If you leave someone a negative on Ebay, they always leave one back, even if they are the wrong ones. It's done out of spite, and the bad part is, there's nothing you can do about it. I had a perfect record on there till i gave someone a negative for something they did wrong, and just to be mean, they gave me one for no reason and ruined my perfect feedback. That's why i think the feedback system on there is a joke. Even if you do nothing wrong, people can just neg you to be mean :-(

He can leave bad feedback on you. That is why many people dont leave bad feedback. Just set up a dispute claim with ebay, they will refund listing fees and then relist.
It helps to be very honest in your listing about the condition of the item.

Just say exactly what he did , yes he can leave bad feedback for you but i wouldn't worry about it as long as you don't have a lot of negative feedback. I would also contact eBay and let them know he backed out. When you agree to a purchase it is like signing a contract.

That is the big problem with feedback on Ebay. It actually encourages people to get away with stuff. Find someone who does not have any negative feedback and scam them somehow but be careful not to overdo it. The person will resist posting negative feedback to preserve his feedback because that person knows you will hit them with negative feedback in return.
I have known a lot of different people who have let someone get away with something just so they can preserve their 100% feedback rating.

Yes he can. It happened to me. I bought something from a seller who never sent it, refunded me, or returned e-mails. I put in a claim, Paypal refunded me, and I left negative feedback, saying I never got item, responses from seller, and was refunded through Paypal. In return, he left me negative feedback claiming that I have poor communication skills.... I sent 3 emails and made 2 phone calls to this fraud. Also, just when I thought it was over, he filed a failure to pay for an item through ebay- I had to call ebay to get it removed. There are many flaws in the way it works, people can say whatever they want on feedback.

If you sold the car with all the correct information you don't have to return any of the $..! I would wait for him to leave you feedback first. This way once his feedback is there, he can't remove it, you can reply to it, Ebay will ask him to retract his comments, if he doesn't then you can leave yours also.

First, report him as non-paying bidder, then leave the feedback to say the same thing. He'll probably slate you, but, you now get thr right of reply or withdrawal by mutual consent.
Tough break, this is why I stopped selling cars on eBay.
eBay should let you re-list the car for no charge as well once you make the non-paying bidder complaint.

watch out for them. do not send expensive items even if they have payed buy pay pal and the money is in the bank. Girlfriend sold a mobile telephone for £165 after sending it she went to sign as sent and he had asked for his money back and paypayl had withdrawn funds from her credit card. The phone could not be stopped being sent and paypal would not take the money from the frauds account again? Collection only on expensive things!

I would go to the EBay forums and ask. It has happened to a lot of people and you will find the best answer there.

leave feedback saying complete waste of time, didnt complete transaction, he can and probably leave you feedback, but if you go to 'my ebay' click on feedback on the left nav bar, find his and leave a reply, saying what he.she did
