I'm looking to trade in my 98' Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. its got about 100k miles on it. but the brakes and tires are brand new. that paint and interior is clean. i kinda' got screwed when I bought it. Paid WAY too much. so i know that i won't get what i owe on it for trade in. but i need a vehicle that's much more economical, since i travel a lot.

are there any cars that are all-wheel, or 4 wheel drive, that are nice. i'd like a newer car, since i'm going to be paying payments anyway.

i'm a 20 year old girl, so i don't want anything too "old" looking. i was thinking the new impala SS, or the cobalt SS.

HELP please.

When buying a used car, what's a good mileage to get? Such as xx,xxx --xx,xxx or something like that (not saying it has to be in the 10,000s) Thanks!

I'm looking to buy a Beetle from Carmax, and the color I want has 35000 miles on it. The other color is a little cheaper and has 27000 miles, but I don't care for the color. If I payed a little more for the 35000 miles, would it be worth it?

Realistically speaking, what kind of price would I be paying for an '02 rx-7?

Also, what would the realistic price be for a 1999 rx-7 or a 1995 Impala SS?

My grandfather passed away in February, leaving behind in my grandmother's car a Chevy Malibu that was purchased in 2005. He was under a 5 year purchasing agreement. My grandmother does not have a driver's license, so she has no need for the car. Unfortunately no one in the family can afford or is interested in taking over the payments on the car, or outright buying it from my grandmother. She doesn't have the money to keep up on the payments, nor can she use it! We are all under much confusion about a possible death clause on the car. Do most car agreements offer a death clause as an "out" on the car?

I just purchased a used vehicle a 1999 GMC Jimmy about 2 weeks ago and the transmission just went on it. Now it was sold as is but I heard in Ohio you have 30 days on any major replacement under the as is law? Is this true please someone help as the dealer is none and right now I can't afford 2 grand for repair.

Thanks in advance,

David.

P.S. I am trying to research this matter myself however I am not to sure about the law

I have bad credit, but I have the money to pay for a good car, were can I go to get a good car without all the hassle. I heard that you can go to a car auction, and get really good cars there. Is that true?

Okay so I am looking for a first car. My dad is in the insurance business and says that the cars I like aren't good cars. Whatever. But I was wondering what are some cute cars that are under $11,000. Thanks.

Some that I like are
- VW Beetle ( but they suck in the snow)
- VW Passat ( my dad said they aren't reliable?)
- Chevy Cobalt
- Saturn Ion

Any others that you think can think of that I can look at?

I'm a first time buyer searching for a used car. I'm told the dealer will generally not tell when not asked. What can I ask the dealer about the car that he/she is obliged to tell me? Do I have to research the VIN myself or do they provide a detailed history upon request?

Also, how do you know you are getting a good price on a used car? I know that new cars devalue immediately upon purchase, so how can I tell I'm getting a good price?

Any other info would also be a great help. Thanks to everyone!

I'd love some answers from some of you who "know" cars, IF you were buying a minivan/SUV what kind would you buy? We just had our car totalled due to a wreck. We are in the sudden position of buying a car. First, we can't decide whether to go new or used. Also, we have a baby on the way and will have 3 kids very soon- so we'd like ROOM! But, the minivans are SO expensive! We are not rich, so money is definitely a concern. We just want to get a reliable/good value vehicle.
