I have a 1979 Corvette L82 and would like to sell it for a fair price. I bought the car new in 1979 and am the only owner it has had. It is in excellent condition and has only 26,000 miles on it. Its all original...T top...4 speed manual transmission. It has had a paint job because the original paint was so poor...real nice car...what should I ask for it? Thanks...Vince

What do you guys think is a better deal/more reliable if i spend between $8000-$8500:

an 04 neon with 35,000 miles
or
an 01 civic with 85,000 miles

they seem to be in the same ballpark price range. ideally i'm hoping for a car that will last me 100,000 miles (over what it already has)... maybe i'm dreaming?

So tomorrow, my mom and I are going into town and checking out the used car lots. What are some good things to look for in a used car? We only plan on spending about 900$, which I realize won't get be a Ferari, but it'll at least get me something that I can get around in.

Give me a checklist of things to check on the car to make sure it's good, if you can.

I am planning to put down 1000-1200. What type of interest rate would I expect with bad credit? How long do you have to be on a job? Because i know someone who ws on a job for like a month and got a car financed..and their previous car was reposessed.

I live in North Queensland Australia and the housing market has gone through the roof over the last five years or so. The market is now slowing down. I'm single and have been saving to get a morgage. I have a healthy deposit, however my car is not in good shape it's twenty years old and is requiring more and more outlay. My question is... do I get a new car, second hand car and use some of my savings? Or do I keep saving and when I'm able to find a house I can afford (which I don't feel will happen for at least another two years) get extra on the loan for the car?

As a horse trailer owner, what are some of the most important features to consider when purchasing a trailer? Are any features a 'must have'? What about the rear doors - split or ramp? Gooseneck or bumper? What features could you not live without..... Etc...
Thanks in advance!!
Eric

I have to buy from a relative because I don't have enough money to buy privately and I don't have enough credit to buy from a dealership. There are two cars that I can buy: A 1994 Buick Park Avenue and a 1998-2002 (I don't know for sure which year it is) Dodge Intrepid. Each have all power, and upgrades.

The Buick, however has things like automatic lights, turning lamps, automatic climate ctrl, dual climate ctrl, leather seats, automatic seats with memory, and ctrls on the stearing wheel, these things aren't found on the intrepid. They would be about the same price, so I can choose between them.

I have heard both good and bad things about both cars. Which do you think is better? Mechanically and reliability wise, I could get over all the extras the Buick has and the intrepid doesn't, the features on the intrepid are good enough for me and I just need the car to be solid, LOW maintenance, and dependable so I don't have to make a lot of repairs and stuff.

well first after 12 years of marrige, sacrifices and a lot of savings. my mom and dad both from mexico and no education worked really hard to save money. one day after 12 years of marrige and having a daughter(me). my ''dad'' runs off with some prostitute and taking ALL the money they saved in 12 years. well he left us and 4 years later were finelly kind of back on our feet. so we wanted to know what are the smallest and most economical cars to buy and matain??

I am a very wealthy person, who drives a Lambo, and my son really likes it but I don't want to buy him one because he barely got his license. I want to get him a nice one but at the same time teach him responsibility. I'm willing to spend $90,000. Oh and he's 16 if that helps.

the used car dealership where the cadillac is located is asking 8,999 for the vehicle, but the vehicle is in great condition and only has 25,000 original miles so they told me. i tried to look up the value of this vehicle on the kelly blue book & nada web site but neither went further than 1985. nada had a section for classic cars but the value it gave me was no more than 4,000, and the description section wouldn't let me put the miles of the car in. me personaly i think thats alot but the miles are low and the car looks great.
