thinking about buying a ford mondeo,it says vetec on the boot but says lx on the registration document. i wont to know should it say zetec aswell,thanks.

Zetec is the name for the 16v engine Ford use, but for a short period of time they also used it as a model grade name (like GLX LX etc). It was basically an standard Mondeo with a few extra toys, but make sure the car's no a ringer by checking all ID codes very carefully.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it should. Every car I've had in the past had all of the letter and signs that demark the model.

But I guess wether Zetec is the model, or if it's just becuase it has a Zetec engine.

Like I say, not 100% but I think it should...

zetec is the engine. lift the bonnet and it will say it on the engine cover
