I have a 1979 Corvette L82 and would like to sell it for a fair price. I bought the car new in 1979 and am the only owner it has had. It is in excellent condition and has only 26,000 miles on it. Its all original...T top...4 speed manual transmission. It has had a paint job because the original paint was so poor...real nice car...what should I ask for it? Thanks...Vince

I had a 79 yrs ago,i say yes go for it.A couple bucks here and there and you'll have a sweet ride. The problem with the 79 is that it's only got the 350ci 2 bolt main, not a big deal.If you throw a mild Crane cam,a 650cfm Holly carb,Eldelbrock performer intake, headers, roller rockers and lifters you'll turn the engine from putting out 225hp to around 310hp.I say definitely do it.I was always a Vette man.I own a newer one now.It puts out 425hp factory,it's not bran new but she'll give you whip lash.Have fun with it.Or save you're money up for a crate engine from summit racing new that is already pushing 500hp.

It was not stated in your question, but I am guessing it is a #'s matching car. If so they are going at fair market value anywhere between 16-20k$. I would do alot of searching online to check out what they have been selling for, ie.....ebay, classic car trader. Best wishes selling it.

i have been surfing the internet more than 3 hours today searching for answers to the same question, and I haven't found any interesting discussion like this. It's pretty worth enough for me.
