What are some of the most important considerations when buying a horse trailer?

As a horse trailer owner, what are some of the most important features to consider when purchasing a trailer? Are any features a 'must have'? What about the rear doors - split or ramp? Gooseneck or bumper? What features could you not live without..... Etc...
