I just purchased a used vehicle a 1999 GMC Jimmy about 2 weeks ago and the transmission just went on it. Now it was sold as is but I heard in Ohio you have 30 days on any major replacement under the as is law? Is this true please someone help as the dealer is none and right now I can't afford 2 grand for repair.

Thanks in advance,

David.

P.S. I am trying to research this matter myself however I am not to sure about the law

Wish I could help more, but if the car was sold AS IS, then it was your responsibility to check it out. The seller has in fact said, "What you see, is what you get." Maybe the seller will help you out with the repair or with the cost of the repair. I wish you luck. I hope it works out for you.

Look up what "As-is" means..... it means any problem that arises after you sign the contract is YOUR problem. There is no "30 day refund/replacement/etc" anywhere in America.

The only state with a right to rescind a contract is California, but you must PURCHASE this policy and it's only for 48 hours.

You're screwed....
