I'm looking to trade in my 98' Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. its got about 100k miles on it. but the brakes and tires are brand new. that paint and interior is clean. i kinda' got screwed when I bought it. Paid WAY too much. so i know that i won't get what i owe on it for trade in. but i need a vehicle that's much more economical, since i travel a lot.
are there any cars that are all-wheel, or 4 wheel drive, that are nice. i'd like a newer car, since i'm going to be paying payments anyway.
i'm a 20 year old girl, so i don't want anything too "old" looking. i was thinking the new impala SS, or the cobalt SS.
HELP please.

either of those are decent cars, neither are 4wheel drive or all wheel drive. other than the subaru's its hard to find an all wheel drive car.
if you are specifically looking for all wheel drive or 4wheel drive you should be looking at smaller suv's. honda crv, ford escape, toyota rav4. etc...
personally i'd suggest the toyota or honda.
but if your upside down in your trade, neither of these have any rebates to help absorb your negative equity. you will need to go to one of the american suv's for that. the jeep liberty, or jeep compass are excellent vehicles and you get some rebates on them, and you can get either in 4wheel drive/allwheel drive.
if you want a car specifically and want all wheel drive you will need to go w/ the subaru. excellent cars but about the same prices as the suv's, and they generally dont run huge rebates on them either.
if your set on either the cobalt or impala, i would definitely suggest getting one that is used. all cars lose their value's american more than imports (other than kia/hyundai/mazda)
