So here is the the story, I'm 18, right out of high school and I need a car. I've been working for about 5 months part time at my job where I get paid about 400 every two weeks (give or take)

My question is, should I get a new car, or a used car from a dealer? I have 2,500 dollars to put as a down payment, and I want to get my monthly payments as close to 150-175 as I can.

What is some good advice?

BTW

The two new cars I was intrested in where the toyota yaris, and scion xA. both roughly cost 14000

Can you recommend a car to me please?
I want a safe one that's reliable and drives smoothly. Not an SUV.
Oh, and I want a cool looking car, nothing too boring.

I was thinking Mazda 3? It's decent.
Ford Mustang? Hm. I really don't know.
Yeah. Thanks a lotttt.

I mean there are some people that would actually take cars off the lot with $49 or "no-money" down scheme, which is crazy in my eye sight.

I'm trying to get an idea on how much people will pay. I am selling a '94 Honda Civic, 186k miles, some rust and body damage, nothing major. Needs a new muffler, but it gets 40-45 mpg average. How much would you pay? Thanks!

I have a skunk living in my 1995 Mazda that has 250,000 miles on it. Do you think that the mileage had anything to do with it?

I've got a black Fiat Cinquecento 1994 L reg with 60,000 miles. My dad wants to get rid of it now that i've gone to university but i don't really want it to be scrapped as it holds a lot of sentimental value. Considering it has no tax or MOT i'm not expecting to get very much. What would be the best way of getting rid of it whilst getting a bit of money back?

I am about to buy a car, it being my first. It will be used as a to-from car mainly to work and school, maybe the occasional trip out of town on weekends. I have a limited amount of money(around a grand), what type of car should i buy?

Everywhere I go shopping people usually give 50% off the MSRP (manufacturer suggested retail price). But how come car dealers never give 50% off brand new cars?

Please I would like to know how I could get an excellent discount whenever I buy brand new cars at the big dealers. thanks

My husband and I are trying to buy a new car. My husbands fico score is .25pts lower than mine. If he puts the car in his name with me as a cosigner as opposed to me putting it in my name only, will we get a better APR?

I'm in the market for a new vehicle. What's better....Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4 or Ford Escape? I'm interested in mileage, overall performance, and customer satisfaction!

Hi There,
I'm currently trying to decide between 2 different vehicles and need some input/advice - here are the stats:

'06 Chrysler 300 Touring, leather, heated seats, 17" alloy wheels, 8K miles, 0% financing...$22,500

OR

'06 Dodge Charger, clother, non-heated seats, 17" steel wheels with caps, 0K miles (new) 0% financing, $20,000

Any input or advice you have would be great. Please let me know why you picked the vehicle you did as well. Again, thanks a lot, and have a great night!

Which car should I get, The 07 civic or the 06 Nissan Sentra? Is one way better than the other?

Its a 98 Honda Accord with appx 30K miles (pretty low mileage). But has been mainly lying in the owner's driveway for about 5 months.

The registration has expired. Hence the owner wouldn't let me test drive or take it to a mechanic. There lies the dilemma.

I let the engine idle and sounds OK. But the owner does not have any maintenace record.

What should I do? I'm in MA.
