Everywhere I go shopping people usually give 50% off the MSRP (manufacturer suggested retail price). But how come car dealers never give 50% off brand new cars?

Please I would like to know how I could get an excellent discount whenever I buy brand new cars at the big dealers. thanks

You are out of your mind. You cannot get anywhere close to a 25% discount on a BMW. At most, you should expect a 2-3% discount off msrp, if that.

Even at honda you won't get that.

There isn't that much markup in cars, and the dealers aren't there to give them away. Clothing and other items have alot of markup to work with. Talk to a dealer about how much over invoice they will sell you a car for. Usually 0 - $200, depending on car and demand. Then you can deduct rebates off that.

Cars and furniture and jewelry are totally different commodities. New cars might have a 10% mark up if that. New cars don't have that kind of mark up!
