I applied for auto loan on line, a dealer called me back and told me that regardless of my credit score or history that I could get a car. After I arrived I was showed several vehicles that they said they could get me approved for. I chose a 03 GMC Envoy with 25, 558 miles on it. I then was excorted down stairs where I spoke with a manager, who I explained what I wanted in terms of montjly payments and stuff. He asked me how much was I willing to put as a down payment. I said $1,500. He then told my sales person to write the deal up and had me to sign papers. he told me that I was going to be very happy, that he was goignt o perform a miracle and get me approved by a bank. He asked me to leave a deposit to hold the car. I left $100, I came back on that Saturday and left $300. Now the manager says we never had a deal, he won't take my calls and I gave my car back thinking we had a deal. So I don't have my money, a car or anything What should I do.

I have all the receipts for all the work done on the vehicle in the last 3 years. When someone comes to look at the car, and we tell them about the car and they buy it, can they come back after a month and claim that" as is" was too general, can they get their money back. Also the smog check is due by the end of the month.
We had it smogged two years ago and it passed. If it is bought do they pay for the smog check or do we.

Recently, I made the decision to buy a new vehicle.

My fiance she said I should to buy a vehicle that was a reliable brand (Honda, Toyota, etc.), with a back seat and an automatic transmission.

Based on these parameters, my choice was a Tacoma Doublecab (4 doors), w/automatic. It isn't much more expensive than a Camry w/V6. The main negative about the truck is the fuel mileage. But, I like the fact that it can be used as a people mover or for cargo, so I feel it's still a practical vehicle.

Unfortunately, she says that she doesn't want to be seen in it, because it doesn't fit her image. But, my point is that since I'm paying for it and I will be the primary driver, shouldn't I have the majority of the say in what I buy?

I'm thinkinng of buying a car. I live in Dublin, however cars tend to be cheaper in Britain, therefore i was gonna buy in Northern Ireland. But will i need to get it NCT'ed immediately in the Republic, whether it has a valid MOT or not?

reasons for "clocking" correction devices !why would anyone need to correct their cars mileage. apart from the "illegal" practice of lowering high mileage cars for higher prices at sale.

I leased a 2004 Ford Mustang and it is time to give it back to the leasing company or I could buy it from them. The online Kelly Blue Book estimator said it is worth $11,650 if I try to sell it to a private party and it estimates a Trade-in Value of $10,075. The payoff with the leasing company is about $9,800.

I know those numbers are just estimates, but I'm asking what I can reasonably expect to get for the car if I try to sell it privately here in Dallas, Texas. If I can sell it for $11,650 in a few weeks I would like to do that. If I would only get $10,075 it's not worth the effort to me and I would rather just give it back to them.

He says it's a 1994 or 1995 (he's leaning more towards 1995) buick lesabre. The motor has 70,000 miles on it and the car has 140,000 miles on it. He is a mechanic. He says it is a good clean car. He is asking $1,250 for it. I have a fiance and a year old son and a 6 year old daughter both in carseats. Would this be a good car for us? We need a good dependable, yet attractive car that will last a while.

If everything goes as planned, next month I will be filing chapter 7 bankruptcy. I have a free car to drive as long as it lasts, but I will need a newer car fairly soon. How can I get loan for a newer, more reliable car (not neccessarily a brand new car)?

Should I use print in my local paper, or place an ad on the Internet? If I should use the Internet which website do you recommend for price and performance? Yahoo? MSN? Vehix.com? Some other?

Thanks!

I drive a tiny 2000 Toyota Celica. I got it when I'm in my early 20's, its a sporty fun car. But now it's getting childish. I have a lot of stuff to haul. Big canvas paintings, furnitures, home improvement stuff that I buy...etc. I love the looks of the Nissan Frontier 4 door Crew Cab and Jeep Commander. Both have same poor gas mileage 16city 20hwy. Nissan has more horse power. Both cost about the same (Jeep a bit higher). Nissan is more rugged (plastic, cheep 80's knobs), Jeep is more luxurious (wood grain interior). My biggest thing is switching my 21city 24hwy Celica for a less gas mileage one. Should I hold off one more year until 2007 and wait for 2008 to see if theres any better Truck or SUV with better gas mileage out there? I know they are trying to make SUV AND trucks with better gas mileage since its the law now (so I heard). I don't know which one to get....I'm leaning towards Nissan Frontier.

We have a 1985 Honda prelude with a rebuilt motor that only has 115000ks and the car has very little surface rust and lots of small parts. what do you think this car would be worth if I were to sell or I should say what should I ask for this car?

I don't care what make or model; we're looking to buy a new car in a year or so and are just wondering what some of the cheapest ones are. Don't care about power windows or all that extra stuff; just want the cheapest thing out there with an automatic. We just kind of need to know what the lowest starting price is.
