I drive a tiny 2000 Toyota Celica. I got it when I'm in my early 20's, its a sporty fun car. But now it's getting childish. I have a lot of stuff to haul. Big canvas paintings, furnitures, home improvement stuff that I buy...etc. I love the looks of the Nissan Frontier 4 door Crew Cab and Jeep Commander. Both have same poor gas mileage 16city 20hwy. Nissan has more horse power. Both cost about the same (Jeep a bit higher). Nissan is more rugged (plastic, cheep 80's knobs), Jeep is more luxurious (wood grain interior). My biggest thing is switching my 21city 24hwy Celica for a less gas mileage one. Should I hold off one more year until 2007 and wait for 2008 to see if theres any better Truck or SUV with better gas mileage out there? I know they are trying to make SUV AND trucks with better gas mileage since its the law now (so I heard). I don't know which one to get....I'm leaning towards Nissan Frontier.

You have to do a heck of a lot of miles before the gas mileage is really important. I do 25,000 miles a year and a hybrid isn't worth my while, especially when I consider the decreased utility.
I couldn't recomend the Jeep over the Nissan, I'd driven both brands in the long term and my experience has been that the Nissan is much better put together.
What about one of those Honda bread van things... but then their gas mileage is no better and they are useless in the winter, if that makes a difference to you.

Ford has the new Edge crossover SUV coming out this month. All wheel drive, 3.5 liter, 265 horsepower V6, and according to preliminary findings of 18 city and 25 hwy, it should get comparable fuel mileage with your Celica. The price is comparable also. Check it out at http://www.fordvehicles.com/crossovers/edge/allnew/

i own a repair shop, and i think id wait a little while and see what comes out in 07 its not that far off,and i hear there are going to be some that do a lot better on gas than this years models do,its a short wait but it might pay off for you in the long run,and beside its not going to hurt your feelings if you have to save some more money on gas for a little while longer is it..i didn't think so,,but you might find a real good deal on a better vehicles if you wait,,good luck i hope this help,s.

My mum and dad offered me a Trans Am as my first automobile, yet i do not recognize why everybody is assuming that in case you cant pay for it, you dont look after it. i'm contained in the driveway daily making confident that ingredient is in tip-authentic structure. i have placed 10k on there and have not had a unmarried issue with it yet and the clock's about to roll to 90k.

I LOVE my Honda Element. BIG and roomy inside...small outside, very comfortable and fun to drive, 4 wheel drive, 26 mpg/hwy, cheap....fully loaded it was just slightly over $20K.
Drive one....You'll LOVE it, too.
