For the best resale value go for black (it used to be silver but has been surpassed in the last few months) this can add up 20% increase when it comes to selling on.
Worst colours are white (pain to keep clean), green (has one of the worst resale values), red (which has an increased likeliehood of accidents and road rage incidents as well as it being prone to oxidisation) and that metallic gold/yellowy colour that fiat do (which is in my opinion the worst colour I have ever seen).

The colour you like the best. You could chose based on resale value, but why compromise the look of the car just to make more money when you get rid of it? If that was your primary concern you wouldn't be buying new anyway, you'd get a 1 year old car that had already depriciated by several thousnat pounds.
