I'm in the market for a new vehicle. What's better....Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4 or Ford Escape? I'm interested in mileage, overall performance, and customer satisfaction!

Thanks for your help!

We have an Escape. It's a decent enough vehicle. The V6 makes it pretty quick and zippy, and it gets 20-21mpg on pretty much all in-town driving, on the highway it returns closer to 24-25. The interior is OK for a base model $15k Escape but isn't what I'd call good enough for top of the line models that push $30k. It has a stiff ride, but the handling doesn't live up to what the ride promises. Customer satisfaction is average, as far as I know, but if it has a real advantage over the other two, it's that it's at the end of its styling cycle and you can probably get one at a deep, deep discount, where the Japanese typically never give discounts and dealers can afford to take a relatively fat profit margin.

The Jap models will probably get much better mileage (closer to 30mpg for the four cylinder models), but we went with the Escape mostly because it keeps the money here in the US of A , we got a package discount because we bought a pickup at the same time, and we don't terribly like the aura of Japanese interiors. Also, I should add that we had an '04 Toyota Sienna we traded in on the Escape last year, and all I can say is, what happened to that supposed Toyota reliability? It was awful! Just something to look out for if you end up going for the Rav4.

The hybrid 10 horsepower. For around 4400 you can get a
no fuel plan. These solar based types use a ten horse to charge and keep a motor that will peak at 65 miles per hour.
Though it is beneficial toyota does have access to some new
variaties, get the real deal at chrysler. If you had to choose
from the ones you selected:
the escape is the best new and maybe best used.

Ford Escape manual 4 cylinders. It maybe not as fast as the 6, but it is fun to drive and economical.
