I Live in Hyderabad, Looking for a decent car with okay milage Look & performance wise need good maintance car. I am intrested in Santro/Accent/?? for indian road conditions.

Any suggestions about choosing car are highly appreciated.

My daughjter has been persuaded by a boyfriend to consider the Nissan Versa as a better car over the wishes of her parents who are willingly to buy her a HOnda Fit as her graduation present. The parents have never bought anything other than three hondas First, a Civic asnd then two Accords. The father's sister and brother in law have recently both switched from Saturns to the ACcord and the Hybrid Civic..
What does the Nissan have to offer that makes it better than the Fit? The Fit is number one in Fuel efficiency for its category..

The Nissan Versa has a Xtronic CVC transmission...(is that a centrifical one that a continualy changes to provide better fuel effiency and a smoother ride ? Or what>>>ANy crash test results that anyone knows of as well? Let me know...I was not impressed with the information on The Versa but have not driven it although I have driven the Fit..My ego can handfle it if the Versa is really better thann the Fit but from what I read I am not convinced.

I'm thinking about insurance. I do not want a Ford KA or a Peugeot 206.

I'm thinking about a Yaris but I'm yet to find out costings, any ideas?

Any ideas on other cars would be welcome.

I would not buy older than a S reg, nor do I want an old model such as the old shape Renault Clio over the new shape.

I have a car that i sold to a supposed friend and we put a lean on the title. He was to pay it completly off by the end of october. He owes $175 still and he told me that he can get me two payment, next wed and two weeks after that. Is the lean still affective past oct or what should i do? I know a bank would repo the car by now but i also don't want to get screwed over any money. He only bought the car for 800.

My boyfriend's son is considering buying a car with no money down. I'm thinking he would be better off if he put some money down...like a few thousand. Then his payments would be less.

The blue book trade in value on my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT with 25k miles came up as 11,500 under Good Condition. Then on NADA it came up as a similar price with the options I have and even gave me +$625 for low miles. The NADA was also around 11,500.

I went to a Honda dealership to see what they'd offer....and they initially offered me $7,500 and then when I told them about the blue book/NADA they basically told me those vales are worth nothing. They said the last guy who brought in a Tiburon go this much...I think it's a rip off. Their final offer was $8,500 but I still couldn't accept that =(
