I am looking to buy Secondhand Maurthi Zen LXI 2002 model which was run for 60000kms so far and is offered at 2.2lakhs . I have a deal from my friend. Is it a fair deal?

no. there are bigger and superior technology cars today available fresh from the showroom at a little over Rs. 3Lakhs, e.g. the Tata Indica Xeta Petrol. You are better off looking at a finance option and buying a new car.

You should anyway check the suspensions and drive shafts. these things in maruti's are notorious for dying out at about 70000km.your best option is a true value showrooms but remember there is no warranty available on most important parts.

Buy it from any Maruti True Value Show Room. They do 103 Checks & also offer 1 yr warranty, also they offer accident free vehicles only. Price 2.2 Lakhs is OK.
