The Mitsubishi Shogun LWB for 7 pax is a great alternative to an MPV. It's big and impressive with a luxury interior. The only drawback is the back two seats are only suitable for small children - when they get to be around 10 the seats are just too small.

My cousin has (had) a galaxy and he had nothing but problems with it, brakes went, exhaust god knows what else. I know it was a T reg. He had it 3 years ago, so it was a bit old but nothing major.
I have a Toyota Privia. Its R reg had it for a year and not had any problems with it at all. Lots of space.... tahts all I can say on MPV's. To be honest I hate having to drive one, but I have 4 kids now...so I have little choice!! Miss my Passat loads!!

the new peugeot 807 looks good and the mercedes model is way nice

spacewagon or chariot from Mitsubishi Ive had 3 and never any problems
