I'm thinking about buying an ex-police car or bike, what do you think the pros and cons are (No pun intended!)

a reletive of mine has bought a vectra (2000),he was told that it has been in a major crash it needs new side panels,new bonnet,new radiator amoung other things it has no documents and it has to go through a mot he has been told that he can go into the city center and get all the documents regarding the car but i think there's something fishy about this car.does anyone agree with me.he has paid £750 for the car

I'm looking at a 2004 BMW 325cic (convertable) with 45k miles the dealer price is $28,000 The KBB trade in value is $23,840. The KBB sugested retail value is $34,025. I will be paying cash and would to get it for around $24-25k. What are your suggestions?

Gave them 500 of the 900 dollar down payment,signed paperwork,but was suppose to bring other paper work also.(utility reciepts etc)which I had not done yet.10 days later transmission started not shifting,check engine light came on.Returned to carlot they said they would repair vehicle,they pay 75%,I pay 25%.I live 60 miles away,Temp. Driveout Tags were still good,had insurance on vehicle also.The loan time was 48 months,4 yrs.I had purchased a LEMON.I told them I did not want to pay for repairs when I had not even made a payment on it.I ended up leaving it there,and they kept my 500 dn payment.Now they are sueing for the full amount of the loan(4yrs)and already have a price I will end up owing if vehicle is sold at auction.At the most I am willing to pay the 400 left for dn payment.I had no credit,just purchased a house and only 23yrs old and dont want this to go against my credit.My Mom said I need a lawyer.Thats where I need to spend my 400.Do I have a case?

I sold my car to a guy and he is going to come pick it up but I want to type up a recipe so that if he gets into a wreck or gets pulled over....I am not liable because the car is no longer mine. I went ahead and signed the recipe but we cannot get an application for title til tomorrow....can someone (in your answer) type what you would write (very professionally) on this recipe...(the car is a 1998 Mercury, Mystique.) plz help me...he is coming in 20 mins.

My husband and I are lienholders on an auto we sold to a friend. He's supposed to make $100.00 per month payments due on the 22nd of each month. Every month we have to call and ask and then we're the bad guys. This month, we're not doing anything and just waiting (he's has not paid yet this month..again). At what point can we legally seize the vehicle? I want to be done with them and take it back now. It's only been about 4 months on a $1200.00 loan. I can't go thru this every month for $100.00 until it's paid. I tried looking online for info but wasen't getting what I needed.
