My brother owns a Honda Element. I know that it is very dependable, as any Honda product would be. That thing has been in several accidents, but it still runs like a dream. However, the one thing my brother complains about every once in awhile is the gas mileage. I don't have specific figures, but he says the mileage isn't as good as his 2003 Ford Taurus.

It is a great car to get if you like a big interior. Very spacious.
