I went ahead and signed the recipe but we cannot get an application for title til tomorrow....can someone (in your answer) type what you would write (very professionally) on this recipe...(the car is a 1998 Mercury, Mystique.) plz help me...he is coming in 20 mins.

Dear girl, just signing over the title to the new owner, and dating it will absolve you of any problems with the car. If it will make you feel better, tomorrow, call the DMV first thing and tell them you sold your car. Also, I don't know what state you are in, but here in NM we keep our license plates. That should deter the new owner from driving it too much until he gets it registered and insured. Good luck.

number1,make sure you licence plates are removed from the car, take only bank check or cash, for payment, before you sign title over to him. by signing title you dont need receipt, title is receipt.
