I'm looking into leasing a new Jetta, and am looking for feedback from owners/former owners. Any information you could provide would be appreciated, especially with regard to reliability, cost of repairs, etc.

I owned a 1995 Golf GTI. It had 230,000 trouble free kilometers when I got rid of it due to lack of space. Repairs, evven from a dealer aren't that costly and parts are comparable in price to other cars.

But don't lease. Leasing is what you do for cheap american cars that depreciate faster than your lease payment. Buy a new Jetta and keep it for 20 years. Or buy a used Jetta and keep it for 15 or 10 years (there is no life limit to these cars, I've seen them with 400,000 km and purring away).

I even have an 03 Passat one million.8t and that i like it. it extremely is a great automobile. the only undertaking that scares me, is that if something does bypass incorrect, that's way costly. while you're a mechanic, that should not be too huge of a hardship for you in spite of the indisputable fact that. My first automobile grow to be a Jetta and now I even have my Passat, so that's risk-free to assert that I reccomend VW's.

Lease Purchase option is something you will have to decide for
yourself or talk to your lending institution.......as far as reliable
road worthy transportation you won't be let down. The Jetta
is a quality cost effective automobile and has been for years.

All the friends I know that used to have vw are selling them and not buying anymore because they are not reliable and almost nobody repairs them. Almost all the repairs are very expensive and they are tired of going to the dealership for any problems.
